Bruno Morchio lives in Italy, in the city of Genoa, where he worked as a psychologist and psychotherapist. He has written twelve novels and numerous short stories featuring his signature creation, Bacci Pagano, PI.
He has won numerous literary prizes for his mysteries, including the Azzeccagarbugli and the Lomellina in Giallo. He has also been selected as a finalist for the Bancarella and the Romiti Prizes.
His venture into black comedy with Un Piede in Due Scarpe (A Foot in Two Shoes, 2017), earned him a special Scerbanenco prize jury mention. In 2019 he was awarded La Quercia del Myr di San Giacomo di Roburent Prize for Mystery Author of the Year.
The German Client (originally titled Rossoamaro) has itself won the Azzeccagarbugli prize for Best Mystery Novel in Italy. Published by Kazabo Publishing, this novel marks the first appearance in English of this best-selling Italian author.
